RDP 8 and higher with NetMan 4.5
Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 provides optional updates to RDP 8(.1):
As soon as RDP 8(.1) is installed, you may not be able to start a NetMan RDP session anymore, but you see a short flickering only.
The trace monitor shows as RDP protocol 5.2 by mistake. The session is closed immediately after starting.
A seamless session may be started anyway without problems.
A complete RDP 8 support is provided by NetMan 5 only.
Solution for NetMan 4: Deinstall the optional updates KB2592687 resp. KB2830477.
Windows 8/8.1 resp. 2012/R2 are not supported by NetMan 4 at all. A downgrade of the RDP protocol is not possible.
Alternatively you can use the Java RDP Weblient with the NetMan Web Interface.
