Reliability of the NetMan SSL gateway and the NetMan Session Broker
The NetMan SSL Gateway always has to be installed on a separate server as of security and performance reasons. It works like a reverse proxy, where users have to log in, in order to be able to access the NetMan web interface.
The NetMan Session Broker spreads incoming RDP sessions according to the NetMan load balancing settings. THis includes all connections regardless if evoked via NetMan Client, web frontend or alternate RDP clients (without MS NLB).
Is it possible to configure both the NetMan SSL Gateway and the NetMan Session Broker failure-resistent?
Yes. A reliability can be achieved by installing the software on several servers, set up a load balancing via DNS (Round Robin DNS) and using the common host name.
